MANAGER'S CODE OF ETHICS

-         Know the rules of the game and teach them to your players.

-      Abide by the rules of the game and responsibilities the By-Laws of the league and organization.

-      Treat the league officers and umpires with respect, no matter what the call.

-      Exhibit exemplary conduct at both practices and games.  Team discipline reflects the manager’s attitude 100%.

-      Coach clean, skillful and honest sportsmanship.

-      Stress good sportsmanship, the manager is responsible for the conduct and attitude of the players and their parents.

-      Help maintain a climate of enjoyment among spectators by discouraging negative remarks or harassment of players, officials and other spectators.

-      Work a team moral, as well as game skills and tactics.  Stress individual skill development.  Have fun playing the game.

-      In dealing with team members – maximum praise, minimum criticism.  Make corrections slowly and calmly in a manner tailored to the individual.

-      Refrain from profanity or vulgar language.  Remember that you are helping to mold the character of your players.

-      Coach talented and non-talented players with equal vigor.

-      Welcome feedback from players and parents skills alike.

-      Show respect to opposing managers, coaches, team members and spectators.

-      Alcohol usage prior to any game and/or practice – PROHIBITED

-      Tobacco use of any kind on the field – PROHIBITED

 

As a Tealtown Little League manager, I understand and agree to abide by the following code of ethics and also the rules set forth by Tealtown ballpark.  I will carry these with me anywhere I may travel with my team, as I am representing Tealtown Ballpark.  I understand that if I violate any of the above, I may be subject to removal from the team and/or the organization.
